A bilingual group course (French & English).

Develop your wheel throwing skills in a friendly, small-group environment. Over 10 weekly sessions, you will build confidence through demonstrations, guided projects, and plenty of hands-on practice.

Whether you are continuing your learning after a beginner workshop or you already have some experience with wheel throwing, this course is designed to help you refine your technique while developing your own personal style.

Schedule: Thursdays from 5:30pm to 7:30pm
Location: 9 Rue de Languedoc, Carmes, Toulouse
Course dates: 17 September to 3 December 2026 (10 sessions)

Each 2-hour session includes up to 1.2 kg of stoneware clay, a selection of studio underglazes and glazes, all firings, and access to shared studio tools and equipment. At the end of the term, you will leave with a collection of functional and decorative pieces made by your own hands.

Session 1 – Thursday 17 September – Wheel throwing
Session 2 – Thursday 24 September – Trimming & underglaze decoration
Session 3 – Thursday 1 October – Wheel throwing
Session 4 – Thursday 8 October – Trimming & adding handles
Session 5 – Thursday 15 October – “Three Movements” challenge

School holidays – No classes

Session 6 – Thursday 5 November – “Off the Hump” wheel throwing
Session 7 – Thursday 12 November – 500g challenge
Session 8 – Thursday 19 November – Finishing pieces
Session 9 – Thursday 26 November – Creating sets
Session 10 – Thursday 3 December – Glazing and decorating all completed pieces

End-of-Term Exhibition

Students are warmly invited to take part in our end-of-term exhibition (optional), where creations made throughout the course will be displayed. Family and friends are welcome to join us to discover and celebrate everyone’s work.

The exhibition date and time will be confirmed at a later date.

Who is this course for?
Students who already have some experience with wheel throwing and would like to continue developing their skills in a friendly, bilingual group class.
